Basically what Clubmark means is that its about child protection (rugby's equivalent is Seal of approval one) and that at a certain point in the near future, any cricket club that does NOT have clubmark will not be allowed to play league cricket.
Focus Club is the next stage up, a very significant one,in allowing the club to access specific interest free loans, for development of the club as a whole. There are not many focus Clubs on the Wirral, including some of the so called premier and senior clubs. Focus Club status, like Clubmark, is not permanent, and there are annual "health checks" to make sure we are doing what we are supposed to be doing. This is a moment we should all be proud of indeed.
SUPER SUNDAY - 6th APRIL 2008 It looks like Sunday 6th April is going to be another big day at the club. The main event will be the Northern Divisional Final in which our Junior Colts will be at home to Old Rishworthians.
On the same day the U16's are playing Lymme in the Semi-final of the Cheshire Cup wth an 11am KO.

The theme for the night was a James Bond style who dunnit with AdHoc Actors from Manchester, hosting the evening. The night raised £1500 in ticket sales and hopes to receive a further £750 through Barclays £4£ matched fundraising due to the work performed in organising the evening by Barclays employee and Under 10Õs parent, Tim Bedson. Pat Brophy (U10's head coach) said "It's been really great to be able to get Barclays on board and for them to recognise our fundraising efforts in this way. It obviously makes a great difference to the club going forward."
