Michael has been refereeing for just over five years now, having started for West Yorkshire Referees Society when he went to university in Huddersfield. He has now worked his way up to becoming West Yorkshire training officer, refereeing all over the country including a few in Scotland.

Michael did used to have a go at rugby in Loughborough as a Full Back when it was suggested to him that he take up refereeing... Possibly a subtle hint to stop him playing!

Lets give him a good game to watch bringing us into Christmas!
