Ex-Wirralian Harry Broadbent (Rosslyn Park, Cheshire & England Counties) is cutting his hair for charity.

On 7th February Harry Broadbent will be cutting the hair that has long been his trademark while playing rugby at Rosslyn Park.

The ex-Wirralian Flanker states: "Most of you will know me for my rugby and recently I have become known for my long, flowing, luscious, hair… What I am planning to do is shave it all off for the Rosslyn Park Injury Trust and then donate the actual hair to ‘Locks for Love’ a leukaemia charity, so it can be made into a wig for children who suffer with the illness and have lost their hair due to treatment. If you’re not familiar with the Trust, in short, we help injured sportsmen & women from any sport who have suffered significant injuries; helping with things ranging from help towards the costs of wheelchairs to sponsoring them through rehabilitation with the aim of helping them as much as we can through a difficult period."

While his 'less hirsute' dad is convinced Harry is just desperate to emulate his look; Harry is adamant that it is for a good cause that is close to his heart.
