Update on Wirral Tigers touch rugby team from Tony O'Brien

The Tigers had a great game last Wednesday against Birkenhead Rugby Club at Home.

This was the first time they have put out a team but played really well and gave us a good game. We have a return match at theirs on the 28th April so another team on board in our aim to get all the club on the Wirral playing mixed touch rugby. We travel to Prenton this Wednesday (24th April) as they have given us time within their training schedule to come and promote touch rugby within their club. So hopefully that will be another club taking up the game throughout the summer. We now have only three teams left on the Wirral to take up the game. Wallasey, Oldershaw and Parkonians. We are working on them and will get them if it kills us. So far the teams in Wirral now playing are:
Caldy, Anselmians, New Brighton, Hoylake ( ladies only at the moment), Birkenhead Park, Chester Centurians and Port Sunlight.
So we move forward and with some great help from Sarah, she is pushing the Juniors and Colts to play through the summer.

Tony
