PREVIEW: Wirral 1XV v MORLEY
This weekend sees Wirral facing Morley at home.
Wirral come into this weekend, following a win away at Stockport, 12-38. This game moved Wirral back up the table into 5th position, just 4 points behind 4th place Sandal and 8 points behind 3rd place Hull. Wirral will be hoping to continue their winning ways in tomorrow’s game, with it being their penultimate home game of the season.
Morley are coming into tomorrow’s game following a 14-60 defeat at home to Huddersfield. Currently they are sat in 12th position in the league, currently the third relegation position. With just two points between themselves and Doncaster Phoenix (who are 11th), they will be anxious to get some points from today’s match.
The sides have met just 3 times prior to today’s game with Wirral having all three matches, as Morley were relegated and then promoted. The last match between the sides occurred in November at Morley's ground and saw Wirral win, 3-29. Tomorrow’s game should be an interesting one, with both teams looking for the win.
