Wirral Saints March to First League Victory

Wirral Saints opened the scoring with a Tom Cook unconverted try to lead 5-0 then a breakaway converted try for Leigh put them ahead 7-5. Wirral Saints were now showing the kind of rugby the coaches had brought to the training ground and an unconverted Will Hibberd try put the Colts into a well deserved 10-7 half time lead.
In the second half the Colts again displayed some great rugby from both the pack and back line. Leigh fought hard and gained the lead again with an unconverted try 10-12. The mobility of the pack began to give the back line some quality ball which resulted in 2 unconverted tries from Sam Hannah and Josh Ward. 20-12
Overall this was a great result for the team and was a brilliant performance from all but Captain Jones edged MOM.
