Well after thinking my rugby days were well and truly in the past I recently discovered Touch Rugby and it’s ignited quite a spark!
Learning a new version of the game with a lot of differences from traditional contact rugby and also the type of touch rugby we played in training has been challenging, plus getting through a session with hamstrings, calves and Achilles still in tact is doubly challenging. Although I am hobbling around today after last night’s session!
It’s great to mix with all ages including some team mates from the past in this fast version of the game and we’re even planning a few fixtures so hopefully the journey will continue.
And if you’ve never tried it, come along, it’s played in the summer months so linament isn’t required unless you still love the smell of Sloans and Ellimans ??
