Lynn Davies

Andrew Broadbent22 Sep - 15:54

It is with great sadness that we inform you about the loss of Lynn Davies.

Lynn has been a loyal and loving member of the club for many years sharing times with us all, watching her sons Dean and Colin play the great game of rugby.
Our thoughts are with her deeply devoted family especially, Allan, Dean and Colin.
The funeral will be held at Landican Cemetery at 3.00pm on 9th October 2025, followed by a celebration of Life at Wirral RFC from 4.30pm onwards.

Message from Colin & Dean:
It is with great sadness that we share the news that our beloved mum and devoted wife to Allan passed away peacefully on Friday 19th September, surrounded by her loving family at Wirral Hospice.

Although we are devastated that our hero is no longer with us, we take comfort in the knowledge that she is now at peace and free from suffering.

Mum was, and always will be, an inspiration to us all. She taught us the importance of love and respect, and from the many heartfelt messages we have already received, it is clear how much she meant to so many people.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers at Wirral Hospice, who made her final weeks as comfortable as possible for her and our family. Their kindness and care will never be forgotten.

Mum fought so hard until the very end and never once complained. We always knew how deeply she loved us, and we will continue to make her proud, knowing she is keeping a close eye on us all from above.

Her love and strength will forever remain in our hearts.

Mum’s funeral will take place on Thursday 9th October at 3pm in Landican’s Centre Chapel, followed by a gathering of family and friends at Wirral Rugby Club.

Family flowers only please and any donations that people would like to make can be made through Charles Stephens funeral directors and will be given to Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and Wirral Hospice.

Mum requested that people wear smart casual and bright and colourful if they wish. Traditional funeral attire is also appropriate.
