Many of you will remember Tom Hayward, aged 40 - a regular rugby player for Wirral 2s, 3s and 4s for many years a while back and latterly as a captain in the last man standing cricket league.
Tom passed away on 6th March. As many know he collapsed a few weeks earlier after a sudden medical emergency and lost his battle on 6th with his family around him.
Tom's former co-worker and team mate, Andy Gaskell, is arranging a collection for the family. Donations can be sent to Andy's account, sort code 77-17-20, account no. 09597968.
As we celebrate Tom's life and send our love to his family, they have asked if those affiliated to Tom through the club could line the car park and Thornton Common Road as he visits us one last time. The procession will be passing by the rugby club at approximately 10.40 on Friday 10th April, enroute to Tom's funeral at Blacon Crematorium. Tom's family has asked you to wear something blue.
The funeral is at 11.20am at Blacon Crematorium for those that wish to attend. The space for the wake afterwards is limited so Vando has kindly arranged for the Members lounge at the club to be available so we can get together and share memories of Tom and support each other.
