On Wed 21st March Cheshire U17s took on a very strong U17 side from Lancashire under floodlights at Macclesfield RFC in front of a substantial crowd.
The Cheshire squad contained EIGHT players from Wirral RFC Junior Colts team; Luke Harris (c), Jake Carter, Sandy Davidson, Declan Littler, Chris Crowley, Mark Griffiths, Kieran Broken and Alex Griffiths.
The team was captained by Luke at No. 8 with Jake at 7, Deco played second row, Chris at scrum half, Mark and Kieran played in the centre with Alex playing at full back.
All those representing the County from Wirral RFC put in a strong performance and are well deserved of their place in the Cheshire side.
Cheshire started strongly going in at half time with a 15-0 lead, however after a number of changes to the Cheshire side the second half started to go the way of Lancashire who managed to bring the score back to 15-14 with two converted trys.
Cheshire made more changes and were regaining control of the game but Lancashire snatched victory with an excellent penalty kick of some distance by their 10.
A great game and worthy performances from all our lads.
