PREVIEW: Hull v Wirral 1XV
This weekend sees Wirral travel away to Hull RUFC, who currently lie in 4th place.
Wirral 1XV have won their last three league games, at home to Doncaster Phoenix and Billingham and away at Kendal, 48-5, 32-17 and 13-19 respectively. So far this season Wirral have only lost two away games, at Sandal and Billingham. Currently on the hunt for promotion, Wirral are still sitting in 3rd place within the league, just 4 point behind 2nd place Rossendale.
Hull RUFC are coming into this week’s game following a defeat away at Huddersfield, 31-7, having not previously lost a game since November. Having won 12 of their last 17 league games, Hull currently lie in 4th place, just 7 points behind Wirral.
Wirral have won all three matches they have played against Hull, with the last meeting back in October finishing 32-18 to Wirral. However this will not be an easy game – Hull have been undefeated at home since November and have only been defeated at their own ground by Huddersfield and Rossendale so far this season.
