Well as I was unable to play this week (blood poisoning from the bl**dy Cat, but he's had to have a tetanus ! Ha !), I can only report on what I've been told !
With cry off's from further up the teams especially as the 1st's are now in the National League and breaking players every week, we sent a team that should have been able to do a job. However their inspirational Captain and Leader (yes me he says tongue in cheek !) was unavailable (Yes the Cat incident and wife hiding car keys), so I left the team in the capable hands of Chris Leave it my VC. However as is usual with these things, People were late, playing in the wrong position etc which all add's up to disaster. After playing our hosts last year and getting a pasting both times, we knew what we are coming up against. To be a score down at half time was apparently down to good tackling and positional play. The second half again was down to tackling but as people tired gaps appeared and tries were scored. If it were not for our own Cotinhio tackling himself to a standstill the score would have been greater. Anyway, we will look forward to playing the Cheshire Set at home and winning that one.
Final Score Wirral a big fat ZERO and Chrisleton 24.
